Hoedown fun! ----
Join us for the Basset Hoedown!! We hope to see all of you there. You can bring your bassets of course or enjoy ours!! We will have raffles; food & fun!! Hopefully the weather will be great & the dogs will have a great time! The Hoedown is from 11am-3pm!! Lot's of contest & fun!!

Daphneyland is open to the public for adoptions on Saturdays & Sunday's from 11 - 5, and Weekdays by Appointment.

San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles & South Bay: Take the 405 North to the 5 North to the 14 North. Approximately 20 minutes up is the Red Rover Mine Rd offramp. Take the exit, stay straight. DO NOT MAKE ANY TURNS. 1.5 miles up is Shannondale Rd. Turn RIGHT. Shannon Valley Rd. is at the end. Turn LEFT onto dirt road. Come up 6 properties and look for the Daphneyland Basset Rescue Ranch sign. Turn RIGHT up the long driveway. The ranch is at the end on your right.

Lancaster, Palmdale, Mojave & Antelope Valley: 14 Freeway Southbound, EXIT at Red Rover Mine Rd. Turn LEFT onto Sierra Highway. Immediately veer to your RIGHT. 1.5 miles up is Shannondale Rd. Turn RIGHT. Shannon Valley Rd. is at the end. Turn LEFT onto dirt road. Come up 6 properties and look for the Daphneyland Basset Rescue Ranch sign. Turn RIGHT up the long driveway. The ranch is at the end on your right.

    I am very excited about this event. the last meetup in encino was awesome, everyone was so nice and i had never seen 13 bassets all at once, so i know that i will be overwhelmed seeing 50 or more bassets at this event. I look foward to spreading basset awareness, because so many bassets need loving homes there, they are a wonderful breed and perfect for any family who are looking for a well balanced dog. Hopefully the weather works out for us and cools down, but regardless, We will be there! =]

      “ We loved the HoeDown. This is our second year of attending since we adopted Burghley 4/9/08 from Daphneyland - and today he won third prize in the meatball catching contest. What fun! I loved meeting all the basset lovers and all the bassets, of course, as well as all the other wonderful dogs in attendance. And, I can't say enough about Dawn Smith - I just think the world of her.
